I'm Mariana.
A wife, cat mom and designer.
Over the last few years, working remotely has allowed me to build a career I love while staying close to my family, traveling the world and being present for the moments that make life meaningful. Currently based in Mexico, but working worldwide.
These photos have very little to do with design, and somehow they have everything to do with it. The experiences, conversations, places, and people I've encountered along the way have shaped how I see the world and ultimately how I approach my work.
I believe great design
is never created in isolation.
My work is shaped by the things I pay attention to outside of design: culture, technology, psychology, architecture, fashion, film, human behavior, and the ways people connect across different parts of the world.
More than ever, I believe design is an act of optimism. It's the practice of imagining something better, then taking the small steps required to bring it into the world. That's the energy I try to bring into every project, team, and conversation.
When I'm not designing, you'll probably find me spending time with my family, playing padel, at the gym, reading a romantasy novel, collecting inspiration for future projects, or building Mumiten, a small anime business I run with my husband.
